🆕 Setup wizard

A wizard automatically installs the required software (foobar2000 and Beefweb, or reuses your existing foobar2000), scans your music and helps you set up playlist generation (profiles, genre matrix, listening history or import of files you already created).

Music player

  • 🆕 Library: search and sort your music, spot tracks with a missing tag, open a track in the file manager
  • 🆕 Tags: edit the title, artist, album, year, track number and genre of one or several tracks, including while listening, with the file updated on the phone at the same time
  • Compact or large player, in the colors of the cover art
  • Playlist view with its total and remaining duration, and 🆕 end the playlist after the current track
  • 🆕 Track actions: edit its tags, open it in the file manager or in the audio editor of your choice, remove its genre from the current profile or block the transition from the previous track's genre
  • 🆕 Infinite mode: a new track is added each time the next one starts, including while playback is in progress, with profile changes while listening

Note: the music player is based on the foobar2000 application, which it controls.

🆕 Playlist generator

  • Create profiles: allowed genres, listening cutoff date
  • Set the transitions between genres with the genre matrix, or directly from the current and previous tracks
  • Listening history with Last.fm or the app's history
  • Generate a playlist from one or several profiles, without recently played tracks, without repeated artists or albums, and following the genre transitions
  • Choose the duration
  • Start the generated playlist in the player, right after the current track or as an M3U file
  • Get a warning on the last track and extend the playlist

🆕 Sync with Android and other installations

  • Share your history, profiles and genre matrix with the Android app over the same Wi-Fi, even when lastseen.tools is closed (will work with the next version of the mobile app)
  • Back up your settings and import them
